So this deck has been available for a little while now (the guidebook is dated 2020) but due to some red tape, I've only just gotten my hands on it and I'm so glad I have. It is just delightful. The cute little ghosts tell the story of the tarot so well. It is RWS inspired so you'll have no difficulty reading it straight out of the box but, as I mentioned, it does come with a small guidebook in both English and French. It also has some keyword cards, again in both languages. The quality of this deck is superb. I have three other decks by this artist/creator and this production is definitely the best. The deck is as adorable as the Tarot Renard but the card stock is infinitely better. If you riffle shuffle you will love this deck. It comes in a clam shell box with matt silver accents and throughout the major arcana the little ghosts are lit up with sparkles. Overall the colour palette and the colour saturation is on a par with the Tarot Renard and by that I mean it's beautiful bright pastels on clean white backgrounds. So if you like dark and vampiric, this deck isn't for you but if you loved the Tarot Renard and other decks like The Way of the Panda Tarot, you will love the nod to Halloween that you get with this sweet deck. Even the nine of swords isn't going to give you nightmares, so this is an excellent deck to bring out for those nervous querents. It isn't edged but I have edged mine myself using a silver Winsor and Newton pro marker. It's the first time that I've ever edged an indie deck but it really felt like it needed to match the delightful matt silver on the card backs. It's a habit that I've gotten into lately, of edging decks. It seems to make it feel more personal and help me connect with the deck. I feel this one could easily have been edged for you by the creator but I wonder if there's a benefit to getting the opportunity to do that by yourself? To customise it to your own requirements. Overall, the things that stand out about this deck are the delightful images, beautiful colours and excellent shuffleability. This is one of those decks that you'll pull out for the season and be reluctant to put it away again. Happy Halloween folks!
