Way of the Panda Tarot, Baby Panda Edition

This is a mini review for a mini deck. I reviewed the full size deck last year and you can read that here. I backed the original Kickstarter campaign and was delighted with the deck and have not been at all surprised by the huge success it has had since. In fact both the full-size and this baby edition are now available on Little Red Tarot in the UK. 
I ordered this mini deck direct from Kim last year before everything went crazy and then the mail services quarantined the babies for far too long. They eventually arrived with the summer weather and brought their own rays of panda sunshine. I don't have duplicates of any of any of my decks and I didn't intend to get a duplicate of this one, even though I loved it. But who can resist the Baby Edition? I mean, the only thing cuter than pandas is baby pandas. 

"So I make a wish and you wave your magic wand, is that how it works?" ​Now he's found the bonus card, Twinkle thinks the only way is Panda...

Shaun:"I looked like that when I was young." Ross:"No, you didn't."

So, what can you expect from this version? It's contained within a sturdy two part box of exactly the same standard as the original, the extra benefit here is that it's pink! The card stock is the same excellent quality. The images remain unchanged. Now that might have been an issue for some decks but the Way of the Panda lends itself so well to being shrunk down. There's no loss of clarity and as the images are not too fussy or busy you can still see the details easily in the smaller size. To be absolutely clear, there's no loss of cuteness! One thing to be aware of is that the mini deck doesn't include a guide book but you will receive a link to a digital little black & white book. Now on a personal note, I've found myself reaching for this deck even more than the full-size version. It's so easy to shuffle especially if you have little hands and you like to overhand shuffle. During the monumental project that is "My Favourite Cards" where all my decks have been put back in order and some have cards pulled out waiting to be awarded with their Tarot Oscars(!), this deck has been the one I keep turning to for quick-reads, one-card pulls and large spreads. These Baby Pandas are versatile, convenient, superb quality and utterly adorable.
