This is the latest tarot release from Celia Melesville and it's just gorgeous. If you liked Celia's other decks the Lili Black or Lili White and are fond of cute animal decks, you'll love this. The art work is adorable and the talent of the artist is clear to see on each and every card. I'll admit, foxes aren't an animal I'm particularly drawn to but the images in this deck are as clever as they are attractive. It is a lighter deck in terms of brightness in comparison to the Oak, Ash and Thorn Tarot but still shows the more challenging cards in a suitable way. Like Celia's other decks the card stock is smooth matt with no edging and is easy to overhand shuffle. Riffle shuffling is also fairly effortless despite the thick card stock. The cards are borderless and, on brand with her other decks, the majors are number only and the minors show an icon at the bottom to denote the elemental energy. I backed this deck on Kickstarter and am so glad I did. It reads really easily being RWS based but also has a guidebook (with text in both English and French) and some keyword cards in the sturdy two-piece box (similar box design to the Spacious Tarot or Tarot of the Holy Spectrum). SummaryThis would be a great deck for a beginner or a more experienced reader, there's plenty of useful symbolism in the images. The quality is great, as you would expect from Celia and overall it's a great purchase if you want something different and colourful that just works straight out of the box.
The deck is currently on sale via the Wild Editions Formations website www.wild-editions-formations.com and it would be a gorgeous addition to any tarot library.
